The team has a reputation for delivering high value through successful exit strategies, most recently achieving a multiple of 3.5 times investor returns and generating substantial IRR. Their diverse and comprehensive background affirms the team’s capacity to manage complex, large-scale projects and to drive innovation in the maritime sector.
Diego Aguilar
Diego has 25 years of legal, consulting, commercial, operations, and brokerage experience in the maritime industry. He spent 10 years at McQuilling Partners as Managing Director and Partner for Mexico and LATAM. In 2019, Diego raised $600M USD from investors like Riverstone, Glencore, and Kue Capital to start multiple Port & Maritime ventures such as E-NAV OFFSHORE (where he is founder and CSO) - the first Mexican based OSV company to attain a global reach, servicing the most important offshore regions in 4 continents, with a fleet of 38 of the most modern vessels in the world. Diego led E-NAV through a very successful exit strategy generating a multiple of 3.5x and a 160%+ IRR for its investors.
José de la Sierra
José has 18 years of experience in the maritime, security, and defense industries. At Nautikus, as After-Sales & Service Director, José managed a fleet of 150 Yachts from the construction stage through the end of their warranty period, and built teams of engineers along Mexico's coasts to provide top customer service and maintenance. José was also COO for Aeronautikos, a leader in aircraft sales, service, brokerage and management. He then developed Camouflage, a startup focused on procurement of high-tech military products and services worldwide.
Andrés Alonso
Andrés has 10 years of experience in commodities, finance, and the maritime Refit industry; with an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Miami. After an immersive experience at Balk Shipyard in Holland - one of the most renowned Megayacht Refit Shipyards - Andrés launched a Megayacht Management company, where he led significant Refit projects. This company led to the idea of transforming a Shipyard into the Pacific Coast's premier Superyacht Refit center, and this idea has now grown into the project of Mast Marine.
Manuel Aparicio
Manuel has 20 years of experience in the Yachting industry, specializing in new Yacht sales, brokerage, management, insurance, and charters. He began as service manager at Nautikos, developing an after-sales department, and then led the company to expand operations to 9 countries throughout LATAM, the USA, & the EU. He became the CEO of the LATAM branch and Sales Director for all the Group, selling over 300 Yachts (between new and used) and generating over $1B USD in sales.
